Acquisition at VECV

At VECV, the emphasis is on attracting professionals who are willing to learn and have the drive to excel. There are two ways to get associated with VECV :

  • Inducting professionals with prior experience
  • Campus recruitment – Diploma Engineer Trainees (DETs)/ Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs)/ Management Trainees (MTs)

Inducting Professionals: The Human Resources team utilizes a variety of external and internal channels for talentacquisition such as advertisements in national / regional newspapers, notifications on job portals, sourcing throughrecruitment agencies and employee referral. However the most authentic, trusted and unique channel for people toget associated with VECV as employees is the VECV career website. The prospective candidates matching the job requirements are called for a preliminary interview. Those selected inthe preliminary, undergo a technical round of interviews/ tests followed by a final round of discussions with therespective heads of business area and the HR.

The Senior Management team is closely involved in the process.

The selection process also entails a pre-employment medical fitness test of the short listed candidates conductedby VECV authorized medical practitioners.

Campus recruitment: VECV identifies certain institutes every year on the basis of requirements and visits these institutes with the objective of hiring fresh graduates. The process involves an online test, a group discussion, technical and HR round/s of interviews.

Campus recruitment too involves a pre-employment medical test meant to examine the medical fitness of theshortlisted candidates.

Final selection of the DETs/ GETs/ MTs/ is subject to clearing the final examination in the course that they arepursuing, fulfilling the selection criteria defined by VECV and being found medically fit by VECV authorized medicalpractitioners at the time of joining.

Campus Connect
VECV launched first edition of Campus Connect programme in 2016. The programme would focus on developing a preferred employer brand through connect with technical and management institutes through various competitions such as Autoquiz, technical/management games and case study competition.

In line with this a White paper competition was launched for the students selected through the campus connect programme. Out of the all entries received from 19 institutes across India, four regional and one national winner were selected. VECV takes pride in publishing the white papers of the winners. The inititative intends to motivate students and encourage them to come up with their ideas which can be used or implemented by the Industry.
